Monthly news from podcastsinenglish.com
Dear Teacher
Here comes the summer! And with it summer holidays. For us that often means camping, we love using our tent. Come camping is a level 2 podcast, one of our Podcasts of the month. We also have Can you swim? for level 1, and Off the beaten track for level 3
We also have lots of special podcasts for July. Wimbledon and the Tour de France are in full swing and there are a number of special days including the International Day of Friendship. Full details of these, and others, are all in the sidebar on the levels pages. You need to have a look!
Did you see that last month we put up our 660th podcast, and 90th video?! So much to listen to and watch! The podcast/video is for our beginner level. We ask What shape is that? as we talk about the world's flags. What does your country's flag look like?
Meanwhile we start the month with a level 3 podcast about one of nature's most amazing events: bird migration. Listen to Flying high and hear some astonishing facts.
If you are not already a member, one lucky winner in our monthly competition gets free pie membership! Julio from Colombia was the lucky winner of last month's competition. He correctly said that the answer was c) the bird watching and Roman monuments.
For this month just answer this question: Both Jersey and the Isle of Man have very nice beaches. But what's the problem with the beaches on the Isle of Man? Is it a) there are too many people, b) the water is very cold or c) they don't sell ice cream? The answer is in this level 2 video: A tale of two islands.
Write your answer on our Contact us page. Remember to tell us your name and where you are from. Good luck! Answers by the end of the month.
Best wishes
Richard and Jackie
