Monthly news from podcastsinenglish.com and Competition Time!
Dear Teacher
It's the last month of winter, and we are happy about that. We are also happy when we remember the comics we read when we were children, they always made us laugh. Our favourite was The Beano, which is our first podcast this month, for level 1. We talk about the characters in the comic and the ones we liked the most. Did you read comics when you were young?
We have updated the podcasts of the month. You can see them on the right of this newsletter but also on the sidebar of the website. We have added a whole load of podcasts about learning. Our favourites include: Can you swim? (a podcast about learning to swim) for level1, Drive, drove, driven (a podcast about learning to drive) for level 2, and Knit 1, purl 1, (a podcast about learning to knit) for level 3. And as usual, we add more during the month. So keep an eye out for them!
There are now 651 podcasts on the site! We really need some suggestions for new topics, do write and give us some ideas, we love hearing from our listeners.
Remember that while most podcasts are free, podcasts 1 - 99 are for members only. Each podcast has essential transcripts, worksheets and extra materials for teachers and learners and with over 2000 to choose from, Join pie now!
If you are not already a member, one lucky winner in our monthly competition gets free pie membership! Carlos, from Spain, was the lucky winner of last month's competition. For this month just answer this question:
How many places are there to ski in Portugal? a) One b) two or c) three. The answer is in this level 3 podcast / video: On the piste.
Write your answer on our Contact us page. Remember to tell us your name and where you are from. Good luck! Answers by the end of the month.
Best wishes
