Monthly news from podcastsinenglish.com Dear Teacher Goodness, December already. We don't even have the tree up yet! But we have updated our Podcasts of the month which are related to the season including Toys, toys, toys for level 1, Whose turn is it? (which is all about board games) for level 2, plus for level 3: Look before you eat, a podcast about food allergies. Plus of course we have loads of Christmas podcasts, many of which are linked to a popular Christmas advert in the UK. Our favourite is Buster the boxer but there are lots more, check out the sidebar on the levels pages for those. Other festive podcasts include Figgy pudding for level 1 where we talk about Christmas meals eaten in different parts of the world. We have O Christmas tree! for level 2 which explains the reason we have a tree inside the house at this time of the year. Plus, for level 3, Peter talks about his Christmases past and present in Jingle bells. Something for everyone. So it's that time of the year when people start thinking about buying things for their loved ones. We do recommend listening to our first podcast this month, Unwanted gifts if you are looking for something special for the special woman in your life - you don't want to get that wrong (like so many do!). This is a level 3 podcast. We also have our traditional Christmas advert: From me to you. If you are not already a member, one lucky winner in our monthly competition gets free pie membership! Jean-Marc, from France, was the lucky winner of last month's competition. He correctly said James I made life very difficult for b) Catholics. For this month just answer this question: How does Jackie describe the wine in the first Christmas meal? Was it a) hot, b) red, or c) strong? The answer is in this level 1 podcast: Figgy pudding. Write your answer on our Contact us page. Remember to tell us your name and where you are from. Good luck! Answers by the end of the month. So we take this opportunity to wish our listeners and members a great festive season, however you celebrate. We really look forward to seeing you all again in 2022. We really hope it's going to be a better year for everyone. Best wishes Richard and Jackie The pie team |
