Dear Learner

June! So soon?! The year seems to be whizzing past at a tremendous speed, perhaps because we have both been so busy!

The Podcasts of the Month have been changed of course. For level 1 we have Creepy crawlies the summer months always bring out the insects. For level 2 we have one of our pie vids: Geocaching. Watch or listen and find out what that's all about. For level 3 we pack some sandwiches and a flask and head outside for a Picnic. Come and join us!

We also have a lots of podcasts for the special days this month. We've already had World Environment Day, World Ocean's Day and UK Bike week, but coming up is There will be blood for World Blood Donor Day on 14 June, Beauty or the beast? for Global Wind Day on 15 June and Sing, sang, sung for World Music Day on 21 June. Full details of these, and others, are all in the sidebar on the levels pages. Have a look!

We start this month talking about something we all do: shopping for clothes. But do we buy our clothes the same as everyone else?! You are what you wear is a level 1 podcast.

In case you missed it the last podcast for May tackled the difficult subject of obesity in children and their love of junk food. What is the UK government's plan? Listen to Not in front of the children, a business level podcast, and see if you approve.

If you are not already a member, then every month one lucky winner to our competition gets free pie membership for 3 months. Just answer this question:

When do we say is the best season to visit the Algarve? Is it a) summer, b) autumn or c) winter? The answer is in this level 1 podcast: Portugal all year round.

Write your answer on our Contact us page. Remember to tell us your name and where you are from. Good luck! Answers by the end of the month.

Best wishes

Richard and Jackie
