Dear Teacher

We made a couple of changes on the worksheets last month. Firstly, we added a line count to the transcript. Secondly, the answers to all the worksheets (including the extra worksheets on the 'extras' page) are together in one document, they are no longer attached to the individual worksheets. These two changes have been requested by teachers, do let us know how else we can improve your teaching / learning experience!

Now, it's May, hooray! For us it's one of the prettiest months of the year but it's not just about the flowers. Listen to The merry month of May and get some fun facts. This is one of our Podcasts of the month. Also for level 1 we have New arrivals, where we talk about the baby animals appearing in the countryside this spring. Ahhh!

We also have a number of Podcasts for May. These include 3.74 Vanishing bees and 2.73 Buzz buzz!! (World Bee Day is 20 May) as well as 3.142 No smoking (World No Tobacco Day is 31 May). But there are many others in sidebar on the website.

We start the month talking about something that affects us all: money! Listen to Hard cash and find out what kind of person Richard is with money: is he a saver or a spender? This is a level 2 podcast.

If you are not already a member, then every month one lucky winner to our competition gets free pie membership for 3 months. Just answer this question:

How many people, does Richard say, visit the Taj Mahal each year? Is it a) 30,000 b) 300,000 or c) 3,000,000? The answer is in this level 2 podcast and pie video The Taj Mahal.

Write your answer on our Contact us page. Remember to tell us your name and where you are from. Good luck! Answers by the end of the month.

Best wishes

Richard and Jackie
