Dear Learner

It's February, and for Richard at least that means one thing: watching The 6 nations rugby tournament over the next few weeks. Don't worry if you don't understand the game, Richard explains all! There are more podcasts for February including our classic video Pancake day (February 25th). Also on February 25th is Mardi Gras. Put on your dancing shoes and join us at the world's biggest carnival in Samba sensation

Meanwhile we start the month of with a podcast about cars. We want to sell our present car and get a new one, but Which car? That is the problem! Listen and see if you can help out.

Our second podcast is all about one of our most popular live entertainments: the circus. So join us in The big top and hear about our experiences.

Note that while most podcasts are free, podcasts 1 - 75 are for members only. Why not make 2020 your year to learn English and join pie!

There are not only podcasts and worksheets but we also have loads of extra materials for learners including top listening tips to help you with real conversations and helping you recognise the key features of spoken English. And there's more! All on the Pie plus page.

Or, why not enter our monthly competition? The winner gets 3 months free pie membership! Just answer this question:

What is the missing word in this sentence? The more clothes people buy, __________ the industry is. Is it a) the richer; b) the happier; or c) the more profitable? The answer is in this level 2 podcast: Green is the fashion. Write your answer on our Contact us page. Remember to tell us your name and where you are from. Good luck! Answers by the end of the month.
