Dear Teacher

This month is special for us in two ways. First of all we are going to a family wedding back in the UK and, for Jackie, this is extra special because she has not been back to England for 10 years! So our first podcasts will be when we return and of course they will be about the wedding celebration, and what changes Jackie noticed in the UK.

However, we have lots of great summer podcasts waiting for you! For level 1 we have Summertime... we talk about our favourite season (who doesn't like summer?!). We also have a podcast and video on how to make our favourite summer dessert: Ice cream (who doesn't like ice cream?!) For level 2, we go to France where Sarah tells us that Paris in summer is the best place to be.

We also have loads of Podcasts of the month. Including ones on Breakfast, Chocolate (World Chocolate Day is on 7 July) and Friends (International Day of Friendship is 30 July). Check out the sidebar on the website for more!

Note that while most podcasts are free, podcasts 1 - 75 are for members only. Each podcast has plenty of worksheets and materials which make a ready-made lesson. There are over 500 to choose from, so why not join pie!

Or, why not enter our monthly competition? The winner gets 3 months free pie membership! Just answer this question:

Where did Greta sit on the first day of her school strike? Was it a) outside her school, b) outside the parliament, or c) outside her home? The answer is in this podcast and video: Who is Greta? Write your answer on our Contact us page. Remember to tell us your name and where you are from. Good luck! Answers by the end of the month.

Remember you can always keep up with our latest news, which includes information about podcasts we think will interest you, by liking our Facebook page. Leave a comment, we love hearing from our listeners.

All the very best for teaching English in 2019!
