Dear Learner
Another month full of exciting events and lots of podcasts about them too. In fact our first podcast of the month goes with World Maths Day which is 7 March: It doesn't add up! This is for level 1, there are some fun maths problems to be found on the extra worksheet.
This month sees the website get a face lift - we have redesigned pie! It's been a big project for us for the last few months but at last we have A new design for pie Listen to our second podcast and find out the reasons for our approach, and we hope you like it too. This podcast is for our business listeners but of course is also for everyone who uses our site!
We also have our podcasts of the month in the sidebar. It's spring (hurrah!) so Jackie is busy in The veg patch so listen to this level 1 podcast about growing things. For level 2, Sue tells us all her latest news in Catching up and for level 3, Nicky talks about her new, and perhaps dangerous, hobby in Don't look down.
Competition time
Ahmed Ragab, who comes from Egypt, won last month's competition. He correctly said the answer was c): Amy won a gold medal for Great Britain in 2010 with the skeleton. Now another listener can win free pie membership by answering this question:
What do Jackie and Richard say about their neighbours? Is the answer a) they are unfriendly, b) they are friendly or c) they have no neighbours? The answer is in this level 1 podcast Home sweet home.
Send your answer to thepieteam@podcastsinenglish.com with your name and where you are from. One winner gets free pie membership for 3 months. Good luck! Answers by the end of the month.
All the very best for learning English in 2018!
Richard and Jackie
