Dear Teacher

It's cold, wet and windy but it's the last of the winter months for us and we are already looking forward to the spring. We hope you are looking forward to this month on pie as we have lots for you!

We start the month by talking about an everyday thing, but it's something that many people spend a lot of time and money on: their hair. Listen to us talking about how much we spend on ours in Hair today, gone tomorrow! and see how important it is to us.

This month we have four podcasts of the month, they are for Pancake day (February 28th) and Valentine's day (February 14th). For level 1 we have Pancake day, this is one of our pie videos and shows you how to make them, delicious! For level 2, we talk about different idioms for love in Head over heels. And for level 3 listen to us talking first to Sandra in Relationships (why she finds them so tricky) and then to Jane in Happily ever after (she writes romantic fiction).

Plus the Oscar ceremony is on February 26th this year and we have loads of podcasts about the cinema. Our favourite is perhaps Cowboy country which is one of our pie videos of our trip to the film set of some classic Westerns. Check out the sidebar for four more movie podcasts!

As always do write to us if you have any suggestions for the site, or if there are any topics you would like to listen to, we love hearing from our listeners!

Here's to a successful 2017 teaching English.

Best wishes
Jackie and Richard
