 Monthly news from podcastsinenglish

Dear Learner

It's springtime! and of course another busy month ahead with lots going on including International Women's Day, Easter, Earth Hour, St Patrick's Day and the clocks going forward - and we have podcasts on all of these! Keep an eye on the sidebar on the website for updates.

We start the month with a topic that is dominating the British news - whether we should stay in Europe or not. We have found a video that looks at a few possible scenarios, watch Brexit to find out what these are. This is for our business listeners but we hope it's also of interest to our general listeners too.

Our second update this month is one of our travelogues. These are short films from some of our travels for you to watch without being 'tested'. The idea is to just relax, be an armchair traveller and learn English at the same time! This time we are in India (it's in the Asia section), watch Richard in a Kolkata street market and be amazed at what you can find there: Oh, Calcutta!

Of course have a look at the other videos on the page too, there are lots of interesting places to see and things to discover. And if you'd like to know more about India we have a podcast about that too, listen to Rosie talking about India, Incredible India

Find a podcast. There are now three ways to find a particular podcast. One, go to the extras page where they are listed under topics. Two, type a topic into the search box (on the left sidebar of the website). Three, by browsing the new lists of podcasts which we have compiled for each level:

Well done Mikhail, who comes from Russia, for winning our monthly competition last month. He correctly said that the most popular boardgame is Monopoly - of course! Now another listener can try to win free pie membership this month. Just tell us when Naomi decided to become a midwife. Was it a) after seeing the TV programme, b) after having a baby herself or c) since she was a little girl? The answer is in this level 2 podcast: Call the midwife. Send your answer to thepieteam@podcastsinenglish.com with your name and where you are from. We will choose one name from a hat at the end of the month. Good luck!

Best wishes
Jackie and Richard
