Dear Teacher

Thank goodness it's the last month of winter for us. There is a week of cold and rain to come so we are already looking forward to spring.

There are some things to look forward to this month. The six nations has already started so listen to this level 2 podcast and find out what Richard says about rugby. We also love Chinese New Year, and this year it's the Year of the Dragon. So for our level 1 podcast this month we ask What is a dragon? There is some surprising information in this podcast about mythical creatures.

We also have podcasts about Chinese New Year as our podcasts of the month. Others include a beginners' level podcast Good morning! (also one of our pie vids); listen to Richard talking about his first meal of the day. We also have podcasts for Valentine's Day and World Radio Day. Do you need reminding that we have 100 podcasts in our Business level? We have included The sportswriter. Simon talks about his interesting work.

There are more! Check out the sidebar on the levels pages for other suggestions. Watch out for our next podcast too!

We have updated the lists of podcasts for the three main levels. This makes it much easier to find a podcast by topic. We have also updated the list of Special days, those days which have podcasts about them. Enjoy!

Remember that while most podcasts are free, podcasts 1 - 99 are for members only. Each podcast has essential transcripts, worksheets and extra materials for teachers and learners and with over 2000 to choose from, Join pie now!

If you are not already a member, one lucky winner in our monthly competition gets free pie membership! Dorota from Poland was the lucky winner of last month's competition. She correctly said that the answer was b) Palmyra.

For this month's quiz just answer this question: What does Richard have on his pancakes? Is it a) bananas and honey, b) plum jam, or c) sugar? The answer is in this beginners' level video: Good morning!

Write your answer on our Contact us page. Remember to tell us your name and where you are from. Good luck! Answers by the end of the month.

Best wishes

Richard and Jackie
