Dear Teacher

This seems to be a month full of many exciting events, and we have podcasts for them all! Our podcasts of the month in the sidebar cover 3: Pancake day, Valentine's day (February 14th) and World Radio Day. Level 1 has Pancake day which is on February 13th this year, watch our video and make a pancake! Level 2 has Head over heels where we talk about the idioms for love, and for level 3 we talk to Sandra about Relationships and Jane about writing romantic fiction in Happily ever after. Finally, Frank talks about his love of amateur radio in The radio ham, World Radio Day is February 13th.

But that's not all! This month also has Chinese New Year, the winter Olympics and the Oscars. Check out the sidebar for podcasts for all of these! Plus, those interested in rugby, or want to know what that's all about, should also listen to The Six Nations as the tournament starts this month too. Phew!

Meanwhile we start the month with one of our business podcasts. However, as the theme is customer feedback it really is relevant to all our listeners. It's called There's something wrong with the chips and it's for level 2.

Competition time
Well done Camelia, who comes from Romania, for winning last month's competition. The answer was a) yes, Richard dreams about famous people a lot! Now another listener can win free pie membership by answering this question: In what sport did Amy win a gold medal for Great Britain in 2010? Is the answer a) skiing, b) ice-skating or c) the skeleton? The answer is in this level 2 podcast Scary sports. Just reply to this email with your answer, your name and where you are from.

One winner gets free pie membership for 3 months. Good luck! Send in your answers by the end of the month.

All the very best for teaching English in 2018!
