Dear Teacher

Welcome to 2015 and our 10th year of making podcasts for podcastsinenglish.com!

We start the year with a quiz. Jackie tests Richard on events from last year in The 2014 quiz. You can also test yourself and your students on 2013 in That was the year 2013. In addition, there is a lesson plan for this and other podcasts in the Teachers' page.

Have you made any new year's resolutions this year? We talked to some friends about the resolutions they have or haven't made for the year ahead in Resolutions.

For our first business podcast of the new year we ask who dictates what food we import: consumers or retailers in Import and export. It's for our business listeners but contains lots of useful vocabulary for general learners as well.

After eating and drinking too much at the end of last year you may be interested in losing a few pounds or kilos so look out for our podcast on dieting at the end of the month. You may even get a few top tips!

Remember to enter our monthly competition to win FREE pie membership. Just answer the easy question on the pie plus page. Have a go! It's open to teachers and learners.

Best wishes
Jackie and Richard
